Don’t worry there are plenty of other companies out there. Most companies are great and take the safety and welfair of their customers seriously, however we advise making sure you check that your dealing with a reputable company otherwise you may not be protected should the unexpected happen.

What To Look Out For

Equipment Safety Testing: All operators are required to check their equipment regularly with an annual inspection. Suppliers should be able to produce test certificates upon request.

Insurance: Seems obvious, however with reduced providers and inflated costs we’ve found many companies operating without any level of cover. Bouncy Castle insurance is specialised and as such all insurance documents will contain a list of what equipment is insured. Don’t assume that your insured just because a certificate is produced. Take time to check that the castles you wish to hire are listed.

Risk Assessments: Yes, we’ve all been there and they are not the best thing to read. A Risk assessment will show you that your supplier has reviewed the equipment and has highlighted any risks they have found assosiated with the equipment. 

PAT Testing: Bouncy Castle blowers carry a high voltage. With many of them being constructed from Metal an electrical fault could result in an electric shock. PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) should be done once a year or when an electrical item is modified. Testing helps eliminate faults before they become a problem.
